    Question

I am 15 what does it mean when your scrotum hurts and is tight.

    Answer

Hi, Thanks for contacting us. A tight scrotum that hurts could be caused by an infection of some kind not only obvious on the outside of the scrotum but also on the inside and not so obvious. I presume you see no rashes or sores on the outside. It would be important for you to check with your doctor about possibly something on the inside causing this. Also any fever or nausea or spreading symptoms would make it even more important to have this checked out by your doctor. Could vigorous manipulation/touching the area have caused this? Yes, but in this case the symptoms will gradually resolve on their own over about a week as long as the area is not touched so much. Let us know if you have further questions.
