    Question

hi i know that this website is for 13-20 but i am 12 and i have a vaginal discharge and it yellow and has an ordour. i read that it means it is infected but im embarrassed to talk about it....can i get it to go away without telling anyone and if yes how??? please help me

    Answer

irls your age tend to have a little bit of a yellow discharge that is kind of sticky and shows up in your underwear - which is perfectly normal. It also has a little smell - but the key is that it is not a foul smell. If that describes yours, you are probably fine - and it is normal - assuming you are not sexually active, the smell is not bad, etc... If you still need to see a doctor - then look in the phone book, in the business section and find a Planned Parenthood Clinic - they have teen clinics, and in CA, 12 is old enough to get services, without a parent knowing. I always recommend talking to a parent (or a grown up you trust) though - they may be more supportive than you think. Good luck!
