    Question

Hello, I have a question: For a few years I have been getting a quarter-sized amount of whitish/clear discharge everyday. I had my first period back in february, but it only lasted about a day and was very light. I also have very small bumps under the skin around my vagina area; I do not experience any discomfort or itching, so I dont think it's an infection. I have also been masturbating regularly for about as long as I can remember. What is wrong with me? I have told my mom about the discharge and she says it is normal for teens. she also knows about my period. but I wont tell her about the masturbating part. Thank you.

    Answer

It does not sound like anything is wrong with you at all - it is perfectly normal to have irregular periods when you start, many people masturbate, and the bumps may be normal, and the discharge is, too. You are old enough though to start seeing your doctor annually and asking him or her these questions, without your mom in the room - so if you have not been to the doctor - suggest it, and then ask your questions with the doctor - have her look at the bumps, and make sure they are normal. Good luck!
