    Question

My scrotum hangs very low, like 2 inches below my penis(and I have a fairly long penis) and one is noticeably lower then the other and that one also has a much bigger ball in it that almost feels like there is liquid in it. Do I need to see a doctor? I am 15

    Answer

Hi, One ball/testicle is typically larger than the other and one usually hangs lower. This is a normal state of affairs. We are all different. In some the scrotum hangs lower than the penis, and in others not as low. Also the same person can have the scrotum lower at one time and the penis lower at another. In any case there is considerable variation. But what you have described is within a normal range completely. At times there can be liquid above the testicle in the so called epididymus, but not usually in the testicle itself. If the testicle is more than half as large again as the other smaller one, or especially two times as large, then it would be important to see your doctor to have it checked out. Thank for contacting us.
