Question
my mom still takes my temperature rectally. she says its more accurate. i asked my doctor and he said the same thing, and said its her choice. i dont want her doing it anymore. is it abuse?

Dear Teen: I agree with you that you should have the choice about your temperature taking and taking it orally is fine. I would tell your mother that at your age you are naturally uncomfortable with her doing this and I would tell your doctor as well.
