Question
For the past few months, it feels like I get cramps BEFORE I get my period for a few days, which seems odd to me, as that usually doesn't happen. Anyway, this month I have that accompanied by maybe what you'd perhaps call spotting? I think my period should have been starting around now, at least, and I was having cramps the past 2-3 days w/o blood, then today it sort of looked like I was getting my period, but what comes out is brownish. And there's hasn't really been very much of it at all so far. I have not had actual sexual intercourse ever, but I've done some other sexual things somewhat recently. Smaller chance, but this has me worried, I'm afraid this could mean I am pregnant??
Answer
People can get pregnant without having intercourse so you should certainly check a pregnancy test.
Whenever your period changes without any reason you should be checked out. Even if you are not pregnant you may have an infection, cyst, thyroid or other hormonal problems. Your doctor or local clinic can check all of that out.
