    Question

I'm almost 14 and have had my period since I was 11. About a week ago I got this brown discharge and I have to use pantiliners. I read that this could be just spotting, but sometimes it gets really itchy. There's no smell, but it can get really itchy.

    Answer

The discharge sounds like spotting. However, if the spotting continues for more than a few days, or if the itching persists or worsens, you should see your doctor. A mild infection, such as a yeast infection, could be causing the itching; your doctor can help diagnose this and find the best treatment for you.
