Question
i know many people have asked this before but i feel you havnt answered it fully, i have small white bumps on my penis, i need to know, will they ever go away?? is there anything i can do to cover them, i have been looking through the questions and i think they are those hair things but they are so ugly, please help.
Answer
It's hard to know exactly what you have without actually looking at the bumps and really your best answer will come from having a physician examine them. The best I can do is give you a list of things that can look like this. First, as you mentioned, are prominent hair follicles. You can also get small bumps called "pearly penile papules". These two conditions are both normal in that area and will usually not resolve. Small cysts or "milia" can develop on the penis, and these occasionally go away on their own or can be removed. Sexually transmitted lesions which can look like skin-colored bumps are genital warts and mollusca, both of which should be treated, as they are contagious. It would be a good idea to have the bumps you describe examined, not only because you find them ugly, but also to ensure that they are not contagious. Good luck!
