    Question

Hi I'm going to the doctor soon because i told my mom i am now sexually active and i am a minor. If my mom AND the doctor are in the room, can my doctor tell my mom how many times i've had sex. or if i've used a condom or not??

    Answer

You can call the doctor before the appointment and leave a message asking the doctor to talk with you alone and expressing your preference that your mom not be in the room. Unless you have had unprotected sex within 24 hours, the doctor cannot tell how many times or if you used a condom, but please be honest with the doctor so she can test you for sexually transmitted infections and talk about birth control that is right for you. Sex is a big responsibility.
