    Question

is it safe to have sex while on your period? my bf says he doesn't care if we would. i am nervous about it.

    Answer

If you are nervous about it, do not do it! Trust your feelings! Having sex during your period is 1) messy, and 2) sharing blood, which is opening you and your partner up for transmission of HIV or sexually transmitted infections (if either one of you is infected). If you are just starting to be sexually active, be responsible, get an exam, start birth control, and plan to use condoms - to protect both of you!
