    Question

I am going camping this summer and I have my period. What can I do if I get my period when I go camping?

    Answer

A couple of things - first, make sure you bring enough pads or tampons (which are neater). If you have never used tampons - try them before you go - the small ones will be easier to use. Second, bring some toilet paper to wrap the used pads or tampons in, and a large ziplock bag to carry the used ones out in because you cannot bury them, so you will have to pack them out (in the bottom of your pack. Finally, to feel clean, I suggest you get a small pack of baby wipes to take, to use to clean your vaginal area each evening. Have fun!
