Question
when i go to the bathroom my anus hurts. it is like burning and hurts when im going. i also find blood on the toilet paper and stools. i dont know if its a bad cut or something else. i was on strong antibiotics a month or 2 ago, so it made everything dry and sensitive and gave me a yeast infection and ever since then ive had problems with using the restroom. its hard to release a stool because it feels like its too big, but really it is just because when my hole opens up it hurts, like burning and stinging u get with a cut. i dont know what to do to fix it and yes i'am embarrassed.
Answer
Most likely you have an anal fissure or a small cut in that area that keeps getting re-opened with bowel movements. The best way to try to get this to heal is to try to make your stools as soft as possible (by increasing the amount of dietary fiber and water you are getting--basically treating yourself as if you had constipation). Also, I would try to be very gentle to the area--after bowel movements you can use baby wipes or Tucks hemorrhoidal pads to wipe instead of toilet paper and do cool rinses to the area and afterwards pat dry.
If those things don't cause your problem to go away in a few days, I would see a medical provider. I realize that many people are embarrassed about seeing a medical professional for this type of problem, but you shouldn't worry. Medical people are used to dealing with these types of problems all the time.
