Question
I was just wondering what is considered rape? I had an unpleasant sexual experience almost four months ago, where I was sleeping with a much older man (26 yrs. older!), and when I wanted to stop, he wouldn't. We were both naked, and I was scared for my life. I feel at fault, because I shouldn't have agreed to have sex with him anyways, but he did do things against my will and I really felt like a piece of trash and not in control of the situation. The only reason I didn't hit him was because I was afraid of what he might do to me. Do you think I was raped?

I am so sorry that this happened to you, and yes, it sounds like rape, and that you need some help dealing with it. Please call (1-800-656-HOPE)or check out RAINN (http://www.rainn.org/)- they can put you in contact with a local person to support you - and give you someone to talk to about the experience.
Every woman has the right to say "stop," and to not participate in any sexual activity she does not want to participate in. Please talk to someone!
