Question
Are jock itches contagious via sexual intercourse?
Answer
Generally speaking, no. Close contact probably does spread fungi from person to person, but many of us have these on our skin without getting the "disease" or bad reaction from it. The jock itch results from your body's sensitivity to the fungus, when the fungus grows into or under the skin, often when there is increased moisture as from sweating, not drying promptly, etc.
