    Question

Last week I had the flu. I did not eat solid food for two days. Then I plowed back into food with a vengeance. Now my system feels out of whack, like I over did it too much. Could I have damaged my system ? How to correct this ?

    Answer

Don't worry. You did not damage your system. In fact, you are probably feeling fine already. When you have a gastrointestinal illness (vomiting &/or diarrhea) you should always go slow when you gain back your appetite but for other illnesses, you can return to your normal diet as soon as you feel better.
