Unprotected sex and sushi
Posted on: 07/23/2007
I'm 20 years old and circumcised. A few days ago, I had unprotected oral sex after sushi dinner which I think is the cause of my problem right now. First, I felt some itching and little pain on the skin below the head of my penis. After a day, I noticed on the penis body (just below the head) that there are like bubbles with something like water inside. These are not the itchy part, but the areas near it. The bubbles hurt a bit when I put pressure on them. I decided to puncture the bubbles in order to free the liquid. The substance that went out was transparent (not like pus). Afterwards, I put alcohol even if it is painful and also povidone iodine on the bruises. The next day, I noticed that parts of the head of my penis had this reddish color and is like crumpled when not erect. Also, it's top skin is peeling off, with a small part a little bit inflamed. The bruises on the shaft are still there. The pain is tolerable and so is the itching. Also the body of my penis is like shedding skin. Is this an STD or some form of infection? I live in a third world country where medical support is bad. I hope you guys can recommend something. Thank you very much.
Many potentially key details are sketchy (e.g., who had the sushi). Whether the skin reaction represents irritation, allergic eruption or infection, or a combination of these, is virtually impossible to ascertain from the description alone. It would be best to go to an outpatient clinic as soon as possible for physical examination, STD testing and some counseling on safer sexual behavior.
