Question
2 years ago, i contracted trichamonias, and havent been the same since. I had a SEVERE bacterial infection that was diagnosed with Trich, Clamydia, BV, and a yeast infection. Several constant doses of antibiotics cleared it up, but after every cycle it seems like it returns; not as severe, but the odor, discharge, and itchiness is present. Every time i was treated, so was my partner. I have only been sexually active with one person EVER. How can this be, and is it a misdiagnosis?
Answer
I am happy that you are not ignoring this problem and continue to get treated. You might ask your doctor to do a "test of cure" after you are treated the next time to make sure that it is really gone, and do not have any sexual contact with your partner for one month during which you are treated and have a menstrual cycle, to see what happens. It may be that your partner is re-infecting you.
