    Question

I recently started getting itchy small red sores/ spots on the skin around my rectum (starting about 3/4 inch from my anus). The spots seem to have a very light discharge with a foul odor coming from them. There are approximately 4-5 very small spots- smaller than a pencil eraser. I don't know if I have a skin yeast infection, and if so could i purchase a cream OTC? Or is it something else- thank you very much.

    Answer

Any bumps that have discharge need to be seen by your doctor. Do not try to self-treat and wait, because this could be a bacterial skin infection that needs antibiotics!
