Question
hi, im 17 yrs old living in philippines. when i was young i only had these inborn allergies which is really itching me to death. and now i still have it but more worst than before because now, i had white spots on my face. and i also had these dry part top and bottom of my lips which is very itchy also.. what should i do in order to prevent these??? pls. i badly need your advice. i hope you could help me out, i really need you.

You probably have atopic dermatitis, which is hereditary and occurs in people with allergies and eczema. One of the things you can see with this is "pityriasis alba", which can give you white spots on the face. This usually becomes more noticeable when your skin becomes darker from sun exposure. This condition usually improves with age. The itchy skin on the lips is probably eczema. You can try 1 percent hydrocortisone cream twice a day for a few weeks to both the face and lips to see if that makes it better. Do not use the cortisone longer than a few weeks. Things that dry out your skin, such as scrubbing and over-washing, will make both problems worse. Make sure to use a moisturizer daily. Good luck!
