Question
Hi, I'm currently 18 years old and had circumcision about 2 weeks ago. I took off the bandage after 3 days and the swelling and the redness and pain has all disappeared. But, the stitches are still there and my doctor told me to apply hydrogen peroxide to the whole penis to prevent it from getting infected. So, i have been doing this but for the past 3-4 days i have noticed large pieces of flaking dry skin on the head of the penis and just about the head (the ring part). I was wondering what this was and how dangerous it is and what i can do about it to get it back to normal conditions. Thank you
Answer
It is best to call the doctor that did the procedure - I am sure you can just call his office and talk to a nurse, who will be happy to let you know things are healing normally, or to come in. They are familiar with your health and know what to expect, and how long things should take to heal.
