Question
Recently my penis has been "leaking" after i use the bathroom. Sometimes it's like clear urine and other times it's a more slimy clear substance. Even if i stand there and try to shake it all out, when i pull my pants up and sit down a few minutes later stuff will leak out. I also have a small pea sized lump under the skin on the shaft of my penis... i dont know if these symptoms are connected or not
Answer
A small amount of leakage after urination may be normal. However, you should see your physician if the leakage wets your underwear extensively, if it happens long after urination, or if you have any symptoms of urinary tract infection (burning, blood in urine, urinary urgency, frequent urination, fever, flank pain, etc).
The "slimy clear substance" you noted sounds like normal penile discharge but may be due to other causes such as STI (sexually transmitted infections). Please see your physician to discuss STI screening if you ever had unprotected sex, This will protect you and your future partner.
I can't say for sure what the "pea sized lump" on your penis is without looking at it. Common benign "bumps" on the penis are hair follicles, sebaceous glands, or a Fordyce spots. You should have it evaluated if it's getting bigger, causes any discomfort, or if you're just worried about it.
