    Question

If I receive just oral sex from an HIV+ person (no kissing or any other type of sex involved), is it possible for her to give me HIV? It only lasted for a few minutes and she didn't use protection.

    Answer

There is a very low transmission rate of HIV through oral sex. However increased risk is found if there are any open sores or lesions (such as Herpetic lesions) in the mouth, lips or on the genitals. We therefore recommend condom use even for oral sex.
