    Question

Ive been on the pill for about 3 months now, and had sex a few times on it using a condom each time, my boyfriend has never come in me, always withdrawn. i had my period about a week ago, and it lasted 6 days, then i had a brown jelly-like discharge when i wiped, and occassionally have blood in my underwear. i dont know what it is, i have had it once before, but when i was a virgin, and it was the same. please could somebody help. thank you

    Answer

This type of discharge is often just old residual blood mixed with the cervical secretions. If it is frequent see your gynecologist for an examination to make sure there is no other problem. I encourage you to continue to use condoms for protection from STDs.
