Question
i had unprotected sex then got my period a day later. after my period i noticed i had heavy discharge, no burning swelling or itching, but i do get stomach cramps and headaches. it's been about a week since ive had my period. im scared it may be an std, but i dont have any other symptoms so i took a pregnancy test, but most of them say you can tell a certain amount of days before your missed period, but what if i had it? how do i know if its too early, can you have your period and still be pregnant. and can discharge mean you could be pregnant?
Answer
Your stress level is off the charts, which may have to do with the headaches and stomach cramps. First, and most importantly, the unprotected sex must stop - you obviously understand you put yourself at risk for pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections. Second, worrying is not helping, but seeing a doctor, being tested for STDs & pregnancy, as well as starting on a reliable method of birth control will. Chances are good that you are not pregnant, but you may have to wait until your next period to know for sure if you do not see a doctor.
