    Question

I was recently raped by someone I considered my best friend. Even with the knowledge that it was wrong, I can't bring myself to tell anyone about it. I still act normal towards him and have even continued to talk to him and hang out with him one on one at times. Is it normal to want to forget about something like this and act like it never happened? Is it wrong to do so?

    Answer

I am so sorry that this has happened to you, and hope that you do something now to prevent it from ever happening again - to you or another young woman. Please call the National Rape Hotline (1-800-656-4673, http://www.rainn.org/) and talk to someone.

It is perfectly normal to wish it had not happened, but it did and you will feel the consequences for a long time. It did happen and it should not have. Please talk to someone!
