    Question

I'm 16 years old, and my boyfriend came over for the day. We've been together for 9 months. We were fooling around, like we do every so often. But this time was different. There was blood after we stopped and its still bleeding. It's now 7:00. We did this at 2:30. Is this normal? What should i do?

    Answer

I am sorry this answer did not arrive sooner. I assume that while "fooling around," your partner inserted his penis or fingers into your vagina and tore your hymen. If that is the case, chances are good it has stopped bleeding. Other options are small tears that were bleeding around your vagina or anus, which is very delicate tissue. Without knowing, I cannot say, but it sounds like you are sexually active, so please see a doctor, start birth control and only go as far as you choose!
