    Question

Is feeling as though I am going to die or think about others dying before I go to sleep normal? Am I the only one who feels like this?

    Answer

It is normal to recognize that life doesn't go on forever and that death is part of the passages for all of us. If we know someone who is elderly or ill and approaching death, we tend to think about it more. However, if you find you are dwelling on death night after night, then you might want to ask yourself if you are generally feeling down, negative about life or hopeless. These feelings can indicate some depression, and you might want to talk with you family, doctor or school counselor to have someone help you figure out what is going on. You've taken the first step by writing here, so taking another step to figure out what is going on shouldn't be too hard. Good Luck!
