Question
I have taken one depo shot and wish to get off of it due to the terrible side effects. I am curious how long the mood swings and depression will last after I have stopped taking it. I know it takes up to 10 months to be able to get pregnant, but does it take that long for the side effects to wear off too?
Answer
It can take several months after last shot for side effects to wear off. Usually it can last up to 6 months. For some patients it may take longer.
