    Question

I suffered chronic orchitis bilateral when I was 18 almost 19. My testicles had swollen to the size of grapefruits. I have had a decrease in hormones as well as pain. I was wondering what kind of physician would be most likely to help me out with hormones as they are below the normal range now and were about 800 NG/DL and are now around 200 NG/DL as per total testosterone. Wonder if a D.O. Family Practice, an internist, a Dr. M.D., or an M.D. Family Practitioner would be best. Luckily I had a kid before this happened. I do have medical skills and knowledge, however not sure how to shop for physician.

    Answer

I would suggest starting with a Family Physician (either DO or MD). A referral to and endocrinologist might be considered. I hope this helps.
