Question
I have dry skin patches that don't itch or hurt on my scrotum and they are spreading around it. I was using someone else's shower loofa and scrubbed my genital with it. Could this be a fungal infection.

Yes, it certainly could be a fungal infection. The most common form of fungal infection in this area, which we usually know as "jock itch", or medically as "tinea cruris", often causes itching, but may be just a non-itching dry patch. If it's spreading, it's probably best for you to see your doctor. For the many who have had this before, there are several medications available over the counter in the US for this. Since it's not yet clear what this is, the wisest course of action would be to have it evaluated.
