    Question

I recently was diagnosed with Chlamydia and took the antibiotics to cure it. Right after I started my period again. Now I am having a slight smelly discharge , lower back and abdominal pains, and spotting when I wipe. These are the same symptoms as the Chlamydia, so could I still have it and the meds did not get rid of it all? My boyfriend and I both took the meds and did not have sex for the instructed amount of time, but the symptoms are back. Could this be pelvic inflammatory infection? We do not know who gave it to whom because neither of us had been tested before, but neither of us slept around and we have been having unprotected sex with each other for about 7 months now.

    Answer

Please make an appointment immediately and go back to the doctor and be tested again. If you have Chlamydia again I would seriously encourage you to use condoms with your boyfriend to protect yourself.
