Question
I had a baby back in 06 and I got the birth control mirena. I was wondering if it's possible that the mirena can come out, or move! i dont use condoms because it says you dont have to worry about using them! and he does get off in me! can i get pregnant with this?
Answer
Any IUD can come out slightly or even completely, after it is placed in the uterus. BUT If you haven't gotten pregnant by now, it's probably ok.
If you're concerned about the IUD moving - you should have it rechecked with your doctor to ensure that it is still in the proper place.
The whole point of the Mirena IUD is to prevent pregnancy and to minimize the bleeding and symptoms from your periods. You should not need any additional birth control with it in.
