Question
My 8 year old daughter showers/bathes nightly. However, each morning there is an odor when you smell her scalp. I have tried so many different shampoos, etc. Also although she is extremely clean, she also has a foot odor. Are these two connected? Please help!
Answer
These are probably two different things going on. Neither is particularly harmful - unless you notice a rash or other skin changes occurring at the same time. Also - is the odor a particularly foul odor - or just one that is present? You should also consider that reaction to shampoos or other topical agents is contributing to the odors. You should try using something that is fragrance free and hypoallergenic and see it that helps.
If in doubt - take your daughter to her doctor!
