    Question

I was just wondering, do the testicles actually grow, or do they just drop?

    Answer

The testicles form in the abdomen, and they usually "drop" into the scrotum shortly before a boy is born. Sometimes the testicles don't drop until shortly after birth. If the testicles don't drop by about 6 months of age, the child should be brought to the attention of a Urologist--surgery may be needed to bring the testicle(s) down to allow them to develop and grow normally. As a boy goes through puberty, the testicles grow substantially.
