For over 10 years, teens have been asking us questions on every topic imaginable. While we are no longer taking new questions, we have a wealth of information we would like to share with teenagers.

Pills without mom
Posted on: 02/26/2008
I am a teen and feel uncomfortable going to the Gyno with my mom. Is there a way I can make an appointment for myself and still have everything confidential? I want to get on birth control (not for sex but for my
horomones) but my mom won't allow it. She thinks I want the pills for sex.
Is there a way I can get birth control without her approval as well or does the guardian have to agree to that as well?
There are seven Planned Parenthood Clinics in your city. You can find them here: www.plannedparenthood.org/
. Just call and ask them if in you state you can come in for an exam and to get birth control without your parent. Good luck.
