    Question

    what is attempted rape?

    Answer

I think there is a lot behind this question, so first, the best resource for any kind of sexual abuse is: www.rainn.org/statistics/index.html.

To answer your question, attempted rape is usually an attempt by one person to have some kind of sexual intercourse with an unwilling person. This could involve pressure to have sex against a person's will, using a date rape drug to incapacitate a person, or physically attempting to force a person to have sex.

If anything like this has happened, please call or check out RAINN and they will connect you with a counselor in your area who can help. Good luck!
