    Question

I recently got my lip pierced January 18th 2008. The other night March 15, 2008 the ball fell off while i was at a club. I have been changing it in and out for some time now, so i figured it would be fine if i left it out for a couple of hours, 4 to be exact. When i got home i found a bump where the hole was on the inside of my lip and i can no longer get a stud in. I can still see an opening in the front of my lip but it is just barely going through. Does this mean i have to get it redone? If so i probably wont bother with it. The only real thing that concerns me is the small bump where the hole was on the inside of my lip. I asume it is scar tissue.

    Answer

If I were you, I would have your doctor look at it - to make sure there is no infection present as it is healing. FYI, piercings on the face can take a very long time to heal - like a year, so it is no wonder that even a few hours made it difficult to replace the stud.
