    Question

I was raped about three months ago. I have not told my parents because I am scared they would think it is my fault. Recently I just found a series of bumps close to my vagina and I am not sure what to do. I am also not sure as to how to tell my parents.

    Answer

I am so sorry that you were raped, and I think the most important thing to do is talk to someone local who can help you 1) sort through your feelings, 2) get checked for sexually transmitted infections, and 3) decide if and how to tell your parents.

Rape is never the victim's fault. Please call 1-800-656-hope or see: www.rainn.org/ - they will put you in phone contact with someone near you! Again, I am so sorry.
