    Question

My husband and I have HPV, but we were both treated and haven't had any more genital warts for about two and a half years. However he just had a surgery about a month ago in his vocal cords; he had some HPV warts removed. Also 10 months ago we had a baby. Can I or my husband transmit HPV to our baby?

    Answer

Maintain good personal hygiene with frequent hand washing especially before and after changing diapers. Warts (caused by HPV) are spread through skin to skin contact. If you do not have any visible warts there shouldn't be any danger.
