Question
When I go on vacation, I do protect myself with sun screen and still get a tan. However, I heard that before you get tan (like before a vacation) it is better to go to a tanning bed to get a base on your skin first. I know that tanning beds are harmful, but is it recommended to go to a tanning bed before tanning naturally?
Answer
NO! Using sun screen (SPF 55 is good) is your best option, and letting your skin tan slowly is better than tanning beds. You will not need a base, if you wear enough sun screen!
