    Question

Do you have to have had a baby in order to get an IUD?

    Answer

No, not any longer. This is a new recommendation though and many Gynecologists and Family Physicains are still not willing to insert an IUD in someone who wants children in the future.

If you have not had a baby and want an IUD, you may need to call several physicians to find someone who will do this.
