    Question

ok i have been shaving for a while, but lately when i do i have these red bumps and they take forever to go away and sometimes itch and burn.:[ is there anything over ther counter i can use to make that stop?

    Answer

You are probably getting "folliculitis", or inflammation of the hair follicles from the shaving. Let your hair grow out for a little while, which will help. You can then use over-the-counter benzoyl peroxide wash in that area to prevent a recurrence. Make sure to wash it out completely, because benzoyl peroxide will bleach towels and clothing. If it still continues, you can apply 1%hydrocortisone to it twice a day. If you're still having problems, see a dermatologist. Good luck!
