    Question

What happens if you miss a month of microlite and then start taking it again 4 weeks later, but NOT the first day of your period, like you would normally/if it was your first time ever on the pill?

    Answer

If you are sure you are not pregnant, it doesn't matter what day you start taking birth control pills. The reason we ask women to start their first pill pack during their period is to lessen the chance that they might be pregnant.

Your period maybe spotty or irregular the first few months you are on the pill. It is important to take it regularly, every day and the same time every day, preferably on an empty stomach.
