Question
I am almost 15 years old and have had my period since I was 11 almost 12. I want to start using tampons for sports, but I am afraid. I was thinking I would ask my doctor about them but I'm really nervous and I don't know how to bring it up (but I definitely want to ask). How can I bring myself to ask her and how can I bring it up? Thank you for your help!
Answer
No worries. You can probably try them and then talk to your doctor if you have any problems. It is easy and most teen or extra small tampons come with great instructions. The only suggestion I would add is to put a little vaseline on the tip of the tampon before you insert it - makes it easier. Good luck!
