    Question

i recently got in a car accident and was wondering if it is OK to take a Vicodin 10mg for the pain along with a Flexeril 1mg to relax the muscle?

    Answer

Vicodin and Flexeril have similar side effects - they can both commonly cause drowsiness, confusion, and blurred vision; in some cases, they can also cause difficulty in breathing. It is always best to limit the use of these medications together, but they can be used together (at the lowest dose needed). You have to make sure you will not be driving, operating any machinery, etc. when taking any of these medications. Vicodin can help with the pain, and Flexeril can help relax the muscle. It is always important to check with your doctor first, though - Flexeril along with an over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medication (like Advil or Aleve) may be more helpful and safer than Vicodin, depending on the type of pain you have and how severe it is.
