    Question

Hey, i'm an 18 year old boy in a sexual relationship, and have recently gotten a long lump that stretches from the base of my penis through to the middle of it, getting smaller as it ascends. It hurts when I press against it, and is shaped like a vein, though I cannot see it as it is inside my foreskin. Is it anything to worry about or should I get it checked out?

    Answer

It sounds like a thrombosed vein (which is a vein that has a blood clot in it). That sounds dangerous, but it isn't. It may take a few months to resolve. It may be caused by excessive friction, so be sure to be well lubricated for any kind of sex.
