    Question

I need to get an abortion. I'm not 100% sure of how far along I am but the date of my last menstural period was january 31st. Palo Alto Medical Foundation does abortions, but I'm embarressed/nervous to call and ask to make an appointment for one. What should i say? also, will an abortion show up on my insurance? I dont' want my parents knowing I got an abortion, but their insurance covers Palo Alto Medical Foundation. I personally don't have enough money to pay for an abortion at planned parenthood. I would also rather have my abortion at PAMF because it seems more professional and trustworthy. please help.

    Answer

Please do not be embarrassed and call your doctor today. When you get someone on the phone in the right department, say that you have an urgent need to talk directly to your doctor (or whomever is covering for him or her) and that it is confidential. When you talk to your doctor, ask to be seen today.

Please, you may be 20 weeks pregnant and your options get more limited each day you wait! You need your doctor to discuss your options with you, be your advocate and help you get prenatal care today! Please call now!
