    Question

I went to my doctor a month ago and i had a yeast infection. I also had very dry, red, pealing skin that hurts and is cracking on my vagina lips. the doctor said it was just dry skin. what could this be and what could i put on it to help it heal?

    Answer

Please see your health care provider to examine you. I can't diagnose this from your description, but would wonder about allergic reactions, so make sure you use unscented hypoallergenic detergent and unscented pantyliners (if you use these), and if you are sexually active, make sure to use hypoallergenic lubricants and condoms or other vaginal products.

If you have other skin rashes, the symptoms could be a more global skin issue, but again, you should be examined to sort this out.
