Question
I'm about 5 months pregnant. I've been noticing that I have a sticky, slimy whitish/clear substance that I can pull out of my vagina (similar to a booger). It doesnt appear excessive in my panties, but I could feel it and pulled it out. There is no smell or any irritation that I can tell. Can you tell me if this is normal?

Your body goes through a lot of hormonal changes when you are pregnant. These changes often increase the amount of normal vaginal discharge, also known as leukorrhea. This sticky secretion shouldn't have an offensive odor and should not be associated with vaginal irritation. Don't worry, this is your body's way of flushing out dead cells and bacteria to keep you and your baby healthy. Please check with your OB doctor if you still have any questions.
