Question
A few weeks ago i broke up with my boyfriend of nearly a year. I did it because we had been long distance for the majority of our relationship and the emotional strain had become too much for me. I'm trying to be as kind as possible and stay a friend and encourage him that everything is going to be ok but he keeps talking about suicide. His parents took him to a doctor and he's on anti-depressants now. But i'm wondering if there's anymore i can do to help him though this hard time. I feel so bad about what's happened.

| You may not be the best support person for him right now. I would suggest you enlist his other friends to support him, make sure he and they have the suicide hotline number, 1-800-SUICIDE (1-800-784-2433), and then take care of you.
You have to do what is right for you, and you can care, but please do not feel responsible.
